Liverpool suffer ANOTHER Alexander-Arnold contract headache
Liverpool face another headache in their quest to keep Trent Alexander-Arnold as Barcelona and Bayern Munich have joined Real Madrid in the race to sign the player who's out of contract in the summer.
The England international is in the final year of his Anfield deal and is yet to sign fresh terms. With Jurgen Klopp leaving his post after last season and Real Madrid extensively linked, there are many obstacles that the club have on their plate.
Reports in Spain have suggested that Real Madrid have all but clinched the deal and he will be another world-class free agent to come in, following on from Kylian Mbappe last season.

Alexander-Arnold has enjoyed more success on the pitch under Arne Slot this season, showing a defensive impetus as well to his game. He is also being a great source in attack for the Reds, just has he has been in previous seasons.
Real Madrid is one thing but now with Bayern and Barcelona as well, things could be really tough for Liverpool to keep their man, especially as he has won everything with the club. TalkSport have reported that both European heavyweights are firmly in the chase for the Merseyside player.
Along with Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are also out of contract in June of next year, while contract talks have not appeared to have developed.
Slot on Alexander-Arnold
Slot was quizzed about the future of Alexander-Arnold ahead of Liverpool's Premier League clash against Chelsea. The Dutchman, though, has remained defiant that the links are totally normal and he has no concerns.
“I think you underestimate our players,” said the Liverpool head coach via The Guardian. “These players are used to being linked with all the top clubs on a daily basis, if they have contracts or not. If you think they’re disturbed by this interest then you don’t do justice to how strong they are mentally. This is part of our job. "This is part of this world we are living in. You just focus on what you have to do.
“Maybe if you’re 17 or 18 years of age it could be difficult for you. But Trent has won the league, has won the Champions League; Virgil and Mo have the same. I don’t think that is a problem for them to perform and that’s what we see at the moment because they’re playing really well.”
