Real Madrid are braced for Vinicius Junior to leave the club in the summer, with rumours of a €300 million switch to the Saudi Pro League gaining strength as the Spanish side grows fed up of the Brazilian’s antics.

Although Los Blancos defended the 24-year-old when he finished as runner-up to Rodri in the 2024 Ballon d’Or, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are looking increasingly likely to allow Vini Jr to leave in the summer.

Interest comes from the Saudi Pro League, where Al-Ahli or Al-Nassr could make him the most expensive player ever with a sensational €300m offer.

Once reticent to sell the winger, Real Madrid are now open to a deal, according to Fichajes.

According to the report, Vini Jr’s behaviour both on the field and off it has started to take a toll on his team-mates, who are said to feel “uncomfortable” with the 39-cap Brazil star.

Vini Jr’s Real Madrid relationship continues to deteriorate

Equally, at boardroom level, there is a sense of concern over the player’s attitude.

“Real Madrid, accustomed to carefully curating its image, doesn't take kindly to the negative exposure Vinicius generates match after match. Therefore, a drastic move in the upcoming summer transfer window isn't ruled out. If an interesting offer comes in, the club would be willing to listen to offers and consider a deal that until recently was unthinkable,” Fichajes states.

This backs up The Transfers Podcast, which explained how the relationship between the player and club has deteriorated in recent times.

Vini’s deal is also causing friction at the Bernabeu. His current agreement is up in 2027, and while Real Madrid have been working on an extension, he also has also been offered what has been described as the “biggest contract in the history of sport” from Saudi.

As such, negotiations with Ancelotti’s side have not progressed as swiftly as the club might have liked, leaving the door open to the possibility of a summer move.
