Within the Barcelona squad, there are the likes of Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele and Ferran Torres competing for places and that is making Ansu Fati’s path into the first-team set-up more difficult.

The youngster has had a strange record of playing every match this season, but at the same time, he has the fewest amount of starts in the team, having come off the bench in most matches.

According to reports in Spain, there is a plan within Barcelona to help Ansu Fati get back to speed to gain strength and a physical presence in order to get him ready for the World Cup squad.

He will work on an individual plan in these two weeks of the international window to get him back to his best condition, with Xavi keen to see him get back to his best.

Barcelona are adamant they have one of the world’s top young talents amongst their squad and want to exploit his talent to the best of his ability in the coming years.

The player already has two goals and two assists in eight appearances so far this season and wants to add to that, with the desire to stay fit for much of the campaign and work on his abilities.
