Son has been brilliant for Tottenham over the years, even finishing joint top scorer in the Premier League with them last season but he may not be around for too long.

He has netted 136 goals in 341 appearances for the club – a fine record over the seven years he has spent at the club, but a future at Real Madrid may be a possibility.

Reports from Germany suggest the Spanish and European champions are eyeing up a possible move in the future and they are keeping an eye on his situation.

Son of interest to Real Madrid

According to Sport 1, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of the player and Son himself is carefully considering his next move in his career.

Son has done exceptionally over the last year, and even finished 11th in the race for the Ballon d’Or last week – a testament to the brilliant year he had on an individual basis.

However, despite his heroics, he is yet to win a major trophy with Tottenham, having played in various finals but having no silverware to his name.

He has a contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2025, however, with the South Korean star now hitting 30, he won’t have many chances to make a move away from the club.

It seems unlikely that Spurs will compete for either the Premier League or Champions League and will have to rely on the domestic cups if he is to win any trophies with the club.

Should Real Madrid come calling for the player, it would be hard for the attacker to turn down an opportunity and he would have opportunities to win silverware at the Spanish club.
