Kessie set to return to Milan from Barcelona… with Inter
Franck Kessie joined Barcelona in the summer transfer window on a free move after his contract at Milan ran out, and his time at the Camp Nou hasn’t been that great.
The Ivorian hasn’t had much playing time with the Blaugrana and has been seen as a second-choice player in Xavi’s side, which has proven to be a source of frustration.
Last season, he was one of the more influential players in the Milan side and was a key part of their title-winning season as they ended an 11-year wait for the championship.

Now, there could be a return to Italy and Milan for him on the cards, however, it may be with Inter this time around, who are in a tough financial position themselves.
Kessie has been a rotational player at best and has been frustrated at his lack of game time with Barcelona in recent times, with a transfer away a possibility.
The 25-year-old has played just 485 minutes with Barcelona over the course of this season, scoring one goal in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Inter have been interested in the player for quite a long time, even before he moved to Milan back in 2017 from Atalanta, but have always missed out on his signature.
Calciomercato suggest Inter are looking to improve their midfield and have identified Kessie as a possible option for the future, with a transfer a possibility, and it may even happen as early as January.
In addition to rumours about a return to Italy, MD say that Franck Kessie will be the subject of offers from Fulham and Aston Villa this winter.

Inter may face complications in the deal, however, as they are in a financial pickle, and the player’s high wages at Barcelona may be hard to match.
The Nerazzuri are in a tough spot and have to work on a reduced budget over the next few months, but would be open to a loan deal for the Ivorian midfielder.
