Real Madrid aim to strengthen THREE areas as January transfer window nears
Real Madrid have plotted out their transfer plans for 2023, with three areas of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad that the club are aiming to improve.
Los Blancos may be the Champions League holders, but the aim of president Florentino Perez is to sign talented youngsters to provide the foundations of the next great era of the Bernabeu side.

France international pair Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are evidence of this in midfield, while in attack Rodrygo and Vini Junior are prominent examples.
Although the January transfer window is only weeks away, Real Madrid are working with the 2023 summer period in mind, according to Sport, and will target three new signings: a midfielder, a winger and an attacker.

Madrid face a ‘complex’ challenge
Landing their priorities in the transfer market could be more difficult for Ancelotti’s side, with the possibility of getting their leading two targets described as “complex”.
Jude Bellingham is the main target in midfield, but intense competition is set to come from Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United. Nevertheless, reports suggest Madrid are ready to go "all in" for him.
In attack, Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick is the figure they wish to land. It should be noted that if they are successful in signing the Brazilian, he is not able to join the squad until 2024 due to FIFA regulations.
Who they might land on the wing is less clear, although a return for Brahim Diaz of Milan is not discounted.
Changes could come in the defence, too, although these depend on the movement of players. Ferland Mendy’s position at the club appears uncertain while in the heart of the rearguard, Los Blancos are counting on Nacho signing a new deal.
So although Real Madrid have loosely defined the three players they want to sign in 2023, this is fluid and relies on them being able to persuade those among the seven out of contract star in their squad that they want to retain to stay.
