Barcelona alerted by Bernardo Silva's latest comments
Barcelona have been alerted by Bernardo Silva’s latest comments after the Portuguese midfielder admitted he could be tempted by other projects.
Barcelona have been interested in Silva for a while and were open to signing him in the summer but were outpriced in any potential deal for him.
Xavi saw him being a part of his midfield but a move in the summer was only possible had Frenkie de Jong been sold and there was enough money left in the bank.

Now, they may be encouraged by Silva’s latest comments as the Portuguese midfielder revealed his future plans to the media.
Bernardo Silva piques Barcelona interest
"I’m very focused on this season and it doesn’t make sense to talk about leaving because we’re in the middle of the season," he said to Portuguese outlet Record.
"I’m 28 years old, I’ll be 29 in the summer, and I have two more years on my Manchester City contract. My contract would end at 31. I won’t hide that my goal in the coming years, if something good happens elsewhere, will probably be to move to a new project.

"Going into a new project at the age of 29, I’ll only finish this contract probably at 34. If you ask me: what did you think 10 years ago? My goal was to return to Benfica at the age of 32 at the most. What do I think today? It depends on what happens next summer. I’m not going to lie: it’s not something I don’t think about. I think about it every year. It has always been a goal."
Pep Guardiola has always spoken about his admiration for Silva and has often said he plans to keep him at the club for years to come, resisting interest.
If Barcelona want to sign him, they will have to fork out a big sum to sign him and given their financial issues, that may be difficult to pull off.
