Real Madrid's Erling Haaland plan revealed
Erling Haaland chose Manchester over Real Madrid on leaving Borussia Dortmund last summer, but the Spanish and European champions are reportedly ready to revisit the situation in 2024.
Haaland emerged as the most prolific young striker in world football at Dortmund, plundering 86 goals in 89 games in two years at the club. His €60 million release clause was effectively an invitation to buy.
He has continued to make a mockery of that fee in England, with 21 goals in 17 Premier League matches - even if he has now gone three games without hitting the back of the net.

Haaland used a points system to determine his next destination on leaving Germany, and one of the few negatives at Real was that they already had a world class No.9 in Karim Benzema. That was ultimately the club's view too, but there is wiggle room at their end.

'Haaland in 2024'
"Erling Haaland in 2024. Madrid has tweaked its strategic plan," report AS. "They are working with an idea on the horizon, to activate the Norwegian's release clause within two summers.
"A release clause, estimated at €150m, that the big Norwegian included in his City contract, is there because he is predisposed to becoming a Real Madrid player sooner or later."

Haaland's clause is actually set at €200m according to the Athletic, but later decreases as his five-year contract nears its end. The clause applied to any cub outside of England, although Real are likely the only major European club who would consider such a fee.
Benzema won the most recent Ballon d'Or, but he is 13 years Haaland's senior and will be 37 by the time Haaland becomes available.
Real have also agreed a deal for Endrick, the Brazilian wonderkid who will join from Palmeiras in the summer of 2024 for €72m. He reportedly wanted no world class striker in his way on arrival, but it appears he might just have to get on with it.
