Mbappe update is great news for Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain to join Real Madrid.
The Athletic report that the striker remains hopeful of a switch to the La Liga giants and there is an opportunity for them to snap him up on a free transfer.
The striker’s deal clause has an optional extra year, something he agreed to when renewing his PSG contract last year, and if he opts not to activate that, he will be allowed to leave the Parc des Princes on a free in 2024.

The 24-year-old remains on their radar as the club look to find a replacement for Karim Benzema.
The French superstar appeared set to head to the Bernabeu last summer but he ended up snubbing them and decided to sign a fresh deal with his current side.
Mbappe, considered one of the world’s best players, is enjoying another stellar campaign in Paris, netting 25 times in 26 games. It brings his total to 196 goals in 243 for the Ligue 1 champions.
Reports of the 2018 World Cup winner moving to Real have not died down despite the failed moved last year.
Real have a more relaxed approach this time around, with other targets also on their wishlist.
One of those is Manchester City's Erling Haaland, but the Premier League star’s buyout clause still cost £176m in 2024 and £154m in 202.
Benzema's Bernabeu future
It comes after Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Benzema will stay at the club for the 2024 season with his deal due to expire in June.
The Italian affirmed: "It is a subject that must be discussed calmly. Karim's age and Karim's performance must be taken into account.
"Benzema is our number nine. After the World Cup he is doing very well and I think next season, too, he will do very well."
