Barcelona star tells Messi to return after PSG boos
Sergi Roberto has implored Lionel Messi to make a return to Barcelona after the superstar endured booing from Paris Saint-Germain supporters.
The Barcelona defender, who scored a goal in the El Clasico game that saw the Catalans beat Real Madrid 2-1, spoke about his former team-mate and how he wants him playing back alongside him.
He said after the victory: “You don’t understand that he is having a good season in Paris, scoring many goals, assisting… Because of the [Champions League] elimination they have taken issue with him, but he is a spectacular player and it’s bad that a player of this level is treated in this way. Here we are going to treat him very well if he comes.”

It comes after the news that Paris Saint-Germain are now unsure whether they want to renew the contract of Messi.
The superstar’s deal is up in the summer and talks have been ongoing for some time, but so far nothing has been agreed.
Now fresh reports suggest that PSG are unsure whether or not they want to sign him up again for next term and beyond.
PSG may not renew Messi contract
L’Equipe report that PSG are no longer sure they want to extend the deal of the 2022 World Cup winner, with results not going the club’s way in recent times.
PSG fans have become increasingly critical of Messi, with them booing the player and slamming what they perceive to be a lack of effort on the pitch on his part.
The side endured a loss 2-0 to Stade Rennes on Sunday, thanks to goals from Karl Toko Ekambi and Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The defeat has increased the misery of Christopher Galtier’s side, who are out of the Champions League but are still on course for a Ligue 1 title.
