Fede Valverde's wife defends Real Madrid star against parking lot assault claim
Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has had assault claims levelled against him after an alleged parking lot bust-up with a Villarreal player.
The Uruguayan was a second-half substitute as Los Blancos surprisingly fell 3-2 to the Yellow Submarine. Two impressive goals from Samuel Chukwueze and a strike from Jose Luis Morales cancelled out Pau Torres' early own goal and Vinicius Jr's 48th-minute tally.
After the match, Valverde was reportedly involved in a parking lot bust-up with Alex Baena during which the 24-year-old allegedly physically assaulted his Villarreal counterpart after the latter had made comments about the complicated pregnancy of Valverde's wife.

Baena apparently remarked: "Cry now that your son isn't going to be born." Though he has since claimed not to have made this comment. In response, Valverde is said to have punched him after which Baena filed a complaint with the national police.
What did Mina Bonino say?
Mina Bonino, Valverde's wife, took to Twitter to defend her husband and shed light on the situation. "Do I have to intervene," she posted, though she has since locked her account, "and explain why they told me that my pregnancy could not continue?"
"We were silent for almost two months, waiting for the results to know if it could continue or not, being already five months pregnant. I have already gone through enough for them to come and question me about my son's health. Despite everything, from the bottom of my heart, I don't wish anyone to go through a similar situation."

Reports in Spain suggest that the condition of Mina and her baby has improved in recent weeks. Other reports claim that though Valverde won't be hit with a sporting ban due to the events occurring after the game, he may have to face criminal charges and everything they would entail.
