Busquets, Ceballos & five LaLiga stars leaving on a Free Transfer
As in every other league, there are plenty of big names on expiring contracts in LaLiga. FootballTransfers takes a look at the five most high-profile players who could walk away from their clubs this summer.
Former Manchester City star David Silva, who is ageing like a fine wine, has already extended his stay at Real Sociedad for another year, while fellow veterans Karim Benzema, Toni Kross and Luka Modrid are expected to do the same at Real Madrid.
Moreover, the expectation is that Marco Asensio will also extend with Los Blancos, therefore he and his aforementioned teammates do not make this list. There are other stars at Real Madrid whose situation remains as yet unresolved, however, and some of them could conceivably be on their way out this summer.

Dani Ceballos
One of those is former Arsenal man Dani Ceballos. The 26-year-old has only featured in a peripheral role for Carlo Ancelotti this term, making 42 appearances across all competitions but most of them coming off the bench. In those games, he has contributed one goal and eight assists.
There is ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future with the club and recent reports claimed that there wasn't much chance of an extension. The midfielder has previously been linked with Bayern Munich, Premier League sides as well as a return to his youth club Real Betis.

Nacho Fernandez
Another Real player facing an uncertain future is one-club man Nacho Fernandez. The 33-year-old has also featured mostly as a substitute this season and as of last week, he was "still talking to the club" regarding an extension.
The versatile defender has made more than 300 competitive appearances for Los Blancos, but he could be on his way out this summer with Bayern, Juventus and Milan having previously taken a keen interest in him.
Matt Doherty
Someone pretty much nailed on to find a new club in the upcoming months is Matt Doherty. The Irishman signed for Atletico Madrid from Tottenham on a short-term contract in January and he has had a nightmare in the Spanish capital.
The 31-year-old right-back has made just four appearances for Atleti since his switch and it is clear that not many more will follow. One possible destination could be his former stomping ground, the Molineux Stadium of Wolves.
Sergio Busquets
A player who has already announced his departure is Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets. One of the last remaining players of that legendary Pep Guardiola team, the 34-year-old recently claimed his ninth league title as a Blaugrana player.
The holding midfielder could join his erstwhile archrival Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, if reports are to be believed.
Inigo Martinez
From one player leaving Barcelona to one reportedly on the verge of joining, our last name on this list is Inigo Martinez. The Athletic Club centre-back is expected to be announced as a Blaugrana player in the near future.
The 32-year-old has had plenty of injury problems this season, so some Barcelona fans must surely wonder why their club is signing him given the uncertainty surrounding player registrations amid financial problems.
