Real Madrid eye Bayern midfielder for after Kroos and Modric
Real Madrid are eyeing Joshua Kimmich for the era after Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Bild reports that Los Blancos are looking at the German to come in and lead a fresh-faced midfield for 2024.
The European champions want an experienced and established player to come - with other reports linking them with Jude Bellingham, who’s currently at Borussia Dortmund.
It is thought that a move this summer is not an option for Kimmich as Bayern Munich will not let him go so soon.
But they may be more receptive next summer - which would represent the final opportunity that the Bundesliga giants would be able to earn a fee for Kimmich.

It is thought that the player s open to the idea of a move abroad at some point, and if he was to leave it would have to be for a top club with chances of winning the Champions League
It comes after the sensational story from the Telegraph that Real Madrid are looking to bring in Kylian Mbappe as well as Bellingham.
The side are hoping to take full advantage of the uncertainty engulfing Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with a push for superstar Mbappe.
Real looking to 2024
The side have spoken about both players coming in for the next window - and it would be a move that would be sure to break transfer records for a club.
The Spanish champions have a desire to dominate Europe over the next decade, having already opened talks with Bellingham over a summer move.
They may have to contend with Manchester City, who are also keen on Mbappe. The Citizens attempted to sign the French superstar for £170 million before he signed a new deal with PSG.
