Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid this summer after all, a report claims.

The biggest transfer saga of the summer shows no signs of dissipating. Banished from the Paris Saint-Germain first team and transfer listed, Mbappe is still the subject of intense links with a move away despite reiterating his commitment to PSG several times already.

He shot down rumours of an imminent departure for Real Madrid shortly after the news broke that he wouldn't trigger his contract extension and he ostensibly did so again with his positive welcome message for Ousmane Dembele.

PSG accepted a world-record bid from Al-Hilal for the Frenchman, but Mbappe refused to enter into negotiations with the Saudi giants despite the ridiculous financial package on offer and the deal including an option that would have allowed him to get his dream move to Real Madrid next summer anyway.

Despite his apparent stance of wanting to stay for one more season, French outlet PSG Community, which has been reporting on the Mbappe case from the start, claims that he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of the window.

A media ploy

They assert that this whole saga around Mbappe - with him being outlawed and removed from promotional material by PSG - is just a communication strategy.

The outlet shares the internal opinion of PSG that Mbappe and Madrid agreed on a deal 'a long time ago.' He will move to Los Blancos this summer, they claim.

How exactly this will happen considering that Madrid have already spent €128 million on transfers this summer, they did not disclose. One thing is clear, though. If Mbappe does end up staying, he will likely not feature for PSG this season.

The 24-year-old will sit in the stands for the Parisians' Ligue 1 opener against Lorient and it appears unlikely that Nasser Al-Khelaifi would allow Luis Enrique to use Mbappe at any point this campaign.
