'A complicated matter' - Mbappe to complete U-turn that will TERRIFY Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe is inching ever closer to signing a new Paris Saint-Germain deal despite it being 'a complicated matter,' according to French media.
The 24-year-old was the protagonist of the biggest transfer story of the summer for the second year running. His camp and PSG ultimately made up and the Frenchman was reintegrated into the Parisians' squad, but uncertainty over his future persists.
Mbappe still hasn't officially put pen to paper on a new deal, meaning that he will still be a free agent next summer as things stand. Should this remain the case until January, it is expected that the PSG star will finally reach an agreement with Real Madrid to get his dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

While neither his free transfer departure nor his signing of a new deal at PSG is in any way set in stone at this point, PSG are scrambling to convince their megastar that the latter is a better option - and it seems they are making progress.
Mbappe impressed
That is at least according to Romain Beddouk who works as a pundit for French outlet Le Club des 5. Beddouk has recently spoken about the Mbappe situation and claimed that the forward is impressed by the squad PSG built over the summer.
"Kylian Mbappe has given up collecting his bonuses to continue at PSG," Beddouk said. "He really likes the project that PSG has set up this summer. There are discussions now, but it is a complicated matter."

Signing a new contract at PSG would represent an unexpected U-turn seeing as though it has been looking inevitable for years that Mbappe would eventually end up at Real Madrid.
A fresh deal wouldn't fully squash the prospect of that materialising, of course, but it would certainly make it much harder for Los Blancos to pull off this transfer given the astronomical fee they would have to stump up.
