Mbappe is hotly tipped to sign for Real Madrid next summer after refusing to take up an option in his PSG deal that would have seen him contracted to the Parc des Princes club until 2025.

As such, the 24-year-old will be a free agent next summer, at which point he could complete a long-awaited move to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos, meanwhile, have taken stock of the changing conditions of the transfer market and are ready to put in two clauses into the player’s contract that are designed to stop him moving to the Saudi Pro League.

Defensa Central reports that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is set to put together a “pioneering” contract for Mbappe and would make the former Monaco player the highest-paid footballer in history.

“To prevent money from driving Kylian Mbappe away from Real Madrid, Florentino Perez has prepared two termination clauses in his contract,” the report states.

“These two 'blocks' are to avoid losing one of the best players in the world currently have different places of application.

“The first of these clauses is aimed at scaring away the clubs from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, which have inexhaustible sources of money and are capable of offering millions that remain very far from the reach of the Santiago Bernabeu coffers.”

Mbappe's Real Madrid release clauses

It is estimated that the so-called ‘anti-Saudi’ clause will be valued around the €1.2 billion mark.

There will be a second release clause put into Mbappe’s Real Madrid contract that will be worth around €800m to €1bn designed to deny even the state-owned clubs such as Manchester City or Newcastle from signing the player.

It is expected that Real Madrid’s approach could set a precedent for European teams to shield their stars from the financial power of the Saudi Pro League.
