Getafe boss apologises for INCORRECT Bellingham-Greenwood comments
Getafe manager Jose Bordalas has been forced to apologise for incorrectly claiming that Jude Bellingham played a role in Mason Greenwood joining Getafe on loan this summer.
Greenwood signed for Getafe on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United on Transfer Deadline Day, and he made his debut for the club in their 3-2 win over Osasuna on Sunday.
Bellingham, 20, moved to Spain himself earlier this year, and the England international has hit the ground running at Real Madrid - scoring five goals and assisting a further one in just four appearances.

However, his entourage asked Bordalas to publicly apologise after he stated that Bellingham had ‘advised’ Greenwood to sign for Getafe after his great start to life in La Liga.
Bordalas told Radio Marca earlier this week: “Greenwood is friends with Bellingham, and he advised him to come to the Spanish league.
“It was a surprise, we never thought we could get a player like that. But they got in touch with our sporting director (Ruben Reyes), we talked, we didn’t think it could happen but both sides made an effort [financially].

“He is a fantastic player. You have to be patient, calm, he hasn’t played in a year and a half. We and his colleagues are helping him. He is integrating in a sensational way and I hope he can help us.”
However, these comments were reportedly untrue and angered Bellingham’s team, according to The Athletic.
What has been said?
“I wanted to clear up a misunderstanding there has been. I said that Mason Greenwood came to Getafe because he had spoken to Bellingham. It has been clarified to me that this was not the case,” Bordalas said after Getafe’s win against Osasuna.
“I apologise. Mason arrived in a different way. It was our interest and they offered him to me and we were very interested. I just wanted to clarify that, it was not a bad intention.”
Getafe have also reportedly reached out to Bellingham himself to apologise.
