Jude Bellingham’s fairytale start to life at Real Madrid continued on Saturday as he scored twice in El Clasico to help Los Blancos to a famous 2-1 win at Barcelona’s temporary home of the Olympic Stadium.
Barca had taken an early lead in the game through Ilkay Gundogan, but Bellingham scored twice in the second half – including yet another late winner – to help Carlo Ancelotti’s side to a crucial three points that put them top of LaLiga.
Signed as a midfielder, he now posts 13 goals and three assists in 13 games for Real Madrid, making him their top scorer this season and filling the void left by Karim Benzema when he rejected the offer of a new deal to sign in the Saudi Pro League.

Bellingham, meanwhile, has profited from the Ballon d’Or winner’s departure and has proven more than value for money after a €103 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Although Real Madrid paid one of the biggest transfer fees ever for the 20-year-old England international, tying him down to a six-year contract in the process, their purchase actually came below the player’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV).
Bellingham’s value has risen more than 10% after Real Madrid move
Indeed, Los Blancos paid €7m below what FootballTransfers’ in-house algorithm suggested he was worth at that time, and what was a bargain at that point looks even more so a matter of three months later.
Bellingham’s ETV has jumped to €125.4m – a rise of more than 10% in the space of only a few weeks. After some inspiring performances during October, that figure can be expected to rise even more when the November figures are released.
