Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is only a matter of time if Spanish media is to be believed, with the PSG superstar said to have already bought a house in the country's capital.

Mbappe has long since been linked with a move to Madrid, having U-turned on a transfer to the Bernabeu in May 2022 to resign with Paris Saint-Germain and become, at the time, the best paid player in the world.

But he will be out of contract next summer and this time has refused to extend with the French champions, despite them building a squad in his image this season in the post-Neymar era.

Valued at €136 million by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm, PSG won't see a cent of that potential fee of Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez Haya is to be believed.

Mbappe Madrid-bound

"In three weeks, something big is going to happen with Mbappe," he told El Chiringuito's Twitch channel. "Mbappe only wants to play for Real Madrid next season. It's not in his plans to renew with PSG.

"The forward puts his future in the hands of Florentino [Perez, Real's president]. He has already bought a house in Madrid. Mbappe believes that the summer of 2024 is the time to arrive at Real Madrid."

There have been suggestions that Erling Haaland would be the better tactical fit at Real as an out and out striker, but the Norwegian goal-machine is under contract at Manchester City until 2027.

And Mbappe could dovetail with Vincius Junior perfectly anyway, despite recent reports. While both men prefer lining up on the left of a front three, Mbappe has played across the final third in his career.

The prospect of the pair of them playing up ahead of Jude Bellingham - who has hit the ground running since his €103m arrival from Borussia Dortmund with 13 goals in 14 games - is a mouth-watering one indeed.
