Revealed: Barcelona unwilling to spend big on permanent Felix transfer
Barcelona are not willing to spend €50 million to sign Joao Felix on a permanent deal, according to reports from Spain.
The Portugal international is currently on loan at the Blaugrana from Atletico Madrid and he scored the only goal of the game in Barca’s 1-0 over Diego Simeone’s side on Sunday evening.
Due to Spanish rules, loan players are eligible to play against their parent club, and it was written in the stars that Felix would play a key role in the game.
He scored the only goal of the game and controversially celebrated after netting versus his parent club.
After the game, Felix admitted: “Every single week they speak about me. I’m always a topic in the media but I’m calm.
“I don’t look at what they say. I’m only working hard to improve. Let me say thanks to Barca, they welcomed me in the best way.
It was written in the stars, wasn’t it 😉

“I’m very happy here. I hope Barca makes an effort to sign me this summer.”
Felix’s comments came after it was revealed that Atletico Madrid would welcome him back to the club next summer if Barcelona decide against purchasing him on a permanent deal.
Felix to Barcelona permanently?
The Portuguese star now has five goals and three assists in 17 appearances for Barcelona this campaign and has impressed during the early months of his loan move to the club.
However, Xavi’s side are not willing to match Atletico’s asking price for Felix. The Madrid-based side reportedly want €70m for the 24-year-old, which is a fee that Barcelona are not willing to match.
In fact, according to SPORT, Barca are “not willing to agree to a transfer for €70m, €60m or even €50m” for Felix.
Barcelona do want to sign the Portuguese forward on a permanent deal, but don’t have the funds to spend that much money on one single player.
