The elder Bellingham brother has hit the ground running since swapping Borussia Dortmund for the Bernabeu in the summer, with 16 goals in 19 games following his €103 million transfer.

Younger brother Jobe has had a more modest career trajectory so far, swapping their hometown team Birmingham for Sunderland for just £1.55m (€1.8m) in the summer.

He has nonetheless impressed at the Stadium of Light, with four goals and an assist from his 21 Championship appearances complementing his all-round midfield play, and now Real reportedly want to acquire him too.

"Real Madrid are monitoring him closely," reports Sport's Alejandro Alcazar. "His rapid growth has not gone unnoticed by the Premier League giants, and like his brother, he has a wide head on young shoulders.

Madrid to steal a march?

"In Madrid, there is an understanding that he would be difficult to acquire later if he were to be allowed to move to a Premier League club first."

Jobe was previously linked with a move to Liverpool at the same time as the Reds had made Jude their top transfer target.

Since going their separate ways, father Mark Bellingham has lived with Jobe in England while mother Denise has followed Jude to first German and now Spain.

Jude's presence at Real would clearly be an advantage in their hopes of signing Jobe, andf the younger brother clearly thinks he could be up to the job.

"I know how to find space in the area," he said recently. "With the skills I have I can play in different positions and I can learn more things. It's something that will benefit me in my career."

Jude recently claimed that he could see himself spend the next decade at Real. That's a long time for his brother to join him in the Spanish capital, but watch this space.
