Barcelona star Lewandowski's stance on shock Atletico Madrid links
Robert Lewandowski has no intention of leaving Barcelona in the summer, according to a report.
The Polish sharpshooter has been the subject of speculation for months. Though he has overcome his early-season goalscoring slump, Lewandowski's future continues to be hotly debated.
In January, the 35-year-old was, yet again, linked with a move to Major League Soccer, a league he seems to be associated with every year. However, given that he is still under contract at Barcelona - who paid a whopping €45 million for him - until 2026, a transfer was simply not feasible for MLS clubs.

In recent days, fresh transfer rumours have begun swirling, linking Lewandowski with a shock move to Atletico Madrid. It has been posited that a swap deal could be on the cards, with Barcelona allowed to keep loanee Joao Felix permanently, while Lewandowski heads to the Spanish capital. The Pole, for his part, addressed the constant speculation not that long ago, insisting that he already knows where he will play next season.
Now, we know that he intends to stay at Barcelona.
Lewandowski not heading to Atleti
At least that's according to Sky Germany transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, who reports that Lewandowski has no intention of leaving Barcelona in the summer.
Nevertheless, the journalist acknowledges that the striker has no shortage of suitors after netting 20 goals and assisting nine in 39 outings this season. Indeed, Plettenberg has confirmed that Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on Lewandowski's situation.

Additionally, the Pole has interest from Saudi Arabia again as well as 'interesting clubs from Europe.' He was already linked with a switch to the Middle East last summer but emphatically put to bed the transfer rumours by claiming that he was not giving the speculation any thought.
