Romano confirms Barcelona in 'advanced talks' to sell Vitor Roque
Sporting CP are reportedly in advanced discussions to sign unwanted Barcelona forward Vitor Roque.
The Brazilian joined the Blaugrana for €40 million back in January, but he’s been unable to nail down a place in the starting XI and could be set to leave the club after just six months.
Real Sociedad, Girona, Napoli, Lazio and Everton have all been linked with signing Roque over the past few months, but Sporting appear to be the frontrunners for his signature.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who posted on X: “Sporting are advancing in talks to sign Vitor Roque, while FC Porto are not in negotiations despite selling Evanilson.
“Total package discussed with Barca in excess of €30m but with add-ons as part of deal structure. Talks continue.”
Roque joined Barcelona as one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Brazil, but he is unfancied by the Camp Nou outfit and they are looking to offload him in order to reduce their wage bill.

The 19-year-old has seven years left on his current contract at Barcelona after signing a mega contract upon his arrival, but he could be set to depart after less than one year at the club.
Roque has two goals in 16 appearances for Barca, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €35.1m.
Viktor Gyokeres to join Arsenal?
News of Roque’s potential move to Sporting may come as a boost for Arsenal, who are looking to sign Viktor Gyokeres from the Portuguese giants.
Talk of a move for the Sweden international has quietened in recent weeks, although the Gunners remain interested in Gyokeres and could potentially push to land him during the final days of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old already has three goals and three assists in just three appearances so far this season, but Sporting are unlikely to let him leave for less than €70m.
