Kylian Mbappe poised to make long-awaited Real Madrid debut this week
Kylian Mbappe is in the Real Madrid squad to face Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup.
The Frenchman finally ended his multi-year transfer saga by signing for Real Madrid on a free transfer from PSG. Mbappe could not immediately join up with his new teammates due to being at Euro 2024 with France.
After a disappointing tournament, in which he broke his nose and criticised his own performances, Mbappe was officially unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu in front of a sold-out crowd.

Now that he is fully back in training, Mbappe's competitive debut for Real Madrid isn't far away. In fact, it could come as early as this Wednesday when Los Blancos compete for the UEFA Super Cup.
Mbappe makes Super Cup squad
Real Madrid have presented their squad for their clash with Atalanta in Warsaw, which will take place on Wednesday, August 12. Mbappe is included in the team, as are Euro 2024 finalists Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal.
Atlanta have the chance to take the scalp of Mbappe and the Champions League winners due to having ended Bayer Leverkusen's invincible campaign in the Europa League final last term.
It remains to be seen whether Mbappe will be deemed ready to feature by Carlo Ancelotti, but the ambitious Frenchman will surely be determined to play a key role in Real Madrid potentially winning their first trophy of the new season on Wednesday.

It has been reported that Ancelotti will initially start with the team that began the Champions League final, with Eder Militao coming into the side for the departed Nacho Fernandez and Luka Modric replacing the now-retired Toni Kroos.
However, there have also been suggestions Mbappe could come into the side for Rodrygo, who has been the subject of speculation this summer due to the 25-year-old's signing potentially pushing him out of the team.
