Barcelona wonderkid has already made transfer decision
Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez has 'already agreed' a new contract, according to Spanish media.
The Blaugrana are determined to tie their biggest talents to the club long-term. This is easier said than done given Barcelona's financial difficulties, but significant headway has nevertheless been made.
Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi have already verbally agreed to sign lucrative long-term contracts when they will be allowed to do so after turning 18, while Marc Casado, one of the breakout stars of the young Hansi Flick era, has stated that he wants to wear Barcelona's famous kit for the rest of his career.

Amid Barcelona's topsy-turvy start to the season, which has seen a team decimated by injuries start like a house on fire in LaLiga before losing to Monaco in the Champions League, there has not been a lot of talk about one of the surprises of 2023/24: Fermin Lopez.
Lopez commits future to Barcelona
The 21-year-old has experienced a turbulent 12 months or so. Barcelona were ready to sell him to Poland for a few hundred thousand euros but he ultimately stayed and scored 11 goals in a breakout campaign last term.
He also travelled with Spain to Euro 2024 in Germany, while later playing a crucial part in La Roja winning gold at the Olympics. However, he has only played 57 minutes of football under Flick so far and is currently sidelined with a fitness issue.

Nevertheless, Relevo reports that Fermin has already agreed to a new Barcelona contract. His current deal expires in 2027 and he is set to pen a five-year extension once the club has successfully attained the much-talked-about 1:1 status regarding their business.
Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Barcelona are also planning to extend the deals of Gavi, Pedri, Ronald Araujo and even of LaLiga top earner Frenkie de Jong, though official announcements likely won't be forthcoming anytime soon.
