Mbappe's best friend makes decision on Real Madrid reunion
PSG are in talks with Achraf Hakimi over a contract extension, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The right-back is an ever-present in the French capital and widely regarded as one of the best players in his position in European football. At just 25, Hakimi has already played for the likes of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Inter.
During Kylian Mbappe's time at PSG, he formed a close bond with the Morocco international to the point where Hakimi was described as the new Real Madrid star's best friend.

This inevitably gave rise to speculation surrounding the defender's future, with a report claiming in the winter that Mbappe was pushing for Hakimi to return to the Spanish capital before the attacker himself had even officially been signed by Los Blancos.
However, it seems that no reunion will be on the cards anytime soon.
PSG in talks over contract extension
That is because, according to Fabrizio Romano, PSG have opened talks with Hakimi's camp over a new contract. The 25-year-old's current deal expires in 2026 and the French champions are keen to tie him to the club long-term.
Luis Enrique and company consider Hakimi one of the key players of this new post-superstar era of PSG and are determined to sort out his future as soon as possible.

The Moroccan has already notched two assists and a goal in just four Ligue 1 outings this season, illustrating his importance to Enrique's side. The right-back has so far only missed one fixture, the 1-1 draw with Reims at the weekend, which is incidentally the only game PSG have failed to win this term.
Hakimi currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €47 million and signing a new deal would only boost his value further, making a Real Madrid return all the more unlikely.
