Real Madrid are looking to repeat their free transfer signing of Kylian Mbappe by landing Alphonso Davies and Trent Alexander-Arnold on Bosman deals in 2025.

Los Blancos’ lengthy pursuit of Mbappe finally ended this summer when he joined the club on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid had attempted to purchase the France international for several seasons before his eventual move to the Santiago Bernabeu in July, however a deal was only finalised upon news that he would not be extending his deal with PSG.

As a result, Carlo Ancelotti’s side were able to sign arguably the best player in world football without paying a transfer fee.

Real Madrid will attempt to do the same with Davies and Alexander-Arnold next summer, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

Both players will be out of contract in 2025 and although they could extend their stays at Bayern Munich and Liverpool respectively, an exit is certainly on the cards as things stand.

Davies was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but Los Blancos opted against signing him in favour of waiting until next year, while Alexander-Arnold is one of their primary right-back targets.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are also set to become free agents next summer, with Liverpool currently facing the prospect of losing three of their most important players in 2025.

Real Madrid’s summer transfer business

In addition to Mbappe, Real Madrid also completed the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick during the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old arrived from Palmeiras for €47.5 million and he scored on his Los Blancos debut against Real Valladolid in late August.

However, Real Madrid were unable to finalise a deal for Leny Yoro, with the teenager opting to join Erik ten Hag at Manchester United instead.
