Jose Mourinho to end Arda Guler's Real Madrid nightmare
Fenerbahce are paying close attention to Arda Guler's struggles at Real Madrid, according to Spanish media.
The Turkish wonderkid arrived in Spain's capital as one of Europe's biggest talents in the summer of 2023, but his start to life at Real Madrid was anything but easy.
A pre-season injury and subsequent setbacks meant that Guler only began featuring for Los Blancos in the second half of the previous campaign, making his integration into the first team difficult.

However, the youngster proved devastating in limited minutes and continued his encouraging form at Euro 2024 when he was one of the most entertaining players to watch.
Expectations were, therefore, high ahead of the new season, with Real Madrid insisting in the summer that they had no intention of loaning Guler out. Carlo Ancelotti repeatedly stated - and continues to do so - that the 19-year-old features prominently in his plans, but regular minutes are still hard to come by.
Fenerbahce to bring back Guler?
Though Guler has already made 10 appearances this season, he has mostly been used as a substitute, which has once again given rise to speculation that a temporary move away could be on the cards.
According to AS, Guler's ex-club Fenerbahce are keeping tabs on his situation with a view to potentially bringing their wonderkid home. Jose Mourinho joked about re-signing Guler at his unveiling as new head coach in the summer, but it seems that a return may not be so far-fetched.

It is claimed that Fenerbahce are planning to enquire about the youngster's availability ahead of the January window, with the motivation behind the transfer not only sporting. The outlet asserts that Fener want to upstage hated rivals Galatasaray, who created a lot of buzz when they pulled off the surprise signing of Victor Osimhen.
Landing Guler would be a major coup given the popularity he enjoys in his home country, while it would also, of course, massively aid their bid of dethroning Galatasaray on the pitch. However, it is unclear at this stage whether Real Madrid are willing to entertain a January loan.
