Jonathan Tah won't choose his next club until January or February at the earliest, according to a report.

The Bayer Leverkusen centre-back is one of the most sought-after soon-to-be free agents in Europe. Despite a downturn in form off the back of last season's brilliant campaign, Tah continues to be linked with Europe's biggest clubs.

In the summer, he was the protagonist of the Bundesliga's biggest, most protracted transfer saga that ultimately yielded no results. Bayern Munich had desperately wanted to sign him but rivals Leverkusen refused to budge from their valuation.

Tah stayed but his camp has repeatedly made it clear that he won't sign an extension. His agent Pini Zahavi has confirmed that Bayern still have a good chance of signing him in 2025, but there are plenty of other suitors as well.

Tah decision timeline revealed

Among the clubs most prominently linked with the 28-year-old are LaLiga behemoths Barcelona and Real Madrid, both of whom are in the market for a cheap centre-back.

Speculation surrounding Tah's future has been rampant for months but it seems that this story is far from over. According to Mundo Deportivo, the player won't be rushed into a decision on his next move.

The Spanish outlet claims that Tah won't pick his upcoming destination until January or February at the earliest. At this point, the only thing that is known for sure is that the defender will not continue his career at BayArena.

Tah is also said to have Premier League suitors, having been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd. In 2023, the German was desperate to move to England amid interest from West Ham, but no transfer materialised.

It remains to be seen if he will fulfil his Premier League dream next year or if he will pick Spain or Germany over England.
