Barcelona's Olmo appeal REJECTED as agent initiates Man Utd and Arsenal talks
The Commercial Court of Barcelona has reportedly rejected the Blaugrana’s appeal to register Dani Olmo for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The Spain international, who played a key role as his nation won the 2024 European Championship, re-joined his boyhood club from RB Leipzig for a fee of €55 million back in August.
However, he included a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave Camp Nou on a free transfer if the club were unable to register him due to financial restraints.

Barcelona were able to register Olmo for the first-half of the 2024-25 LaLiga campaign due to an injury to Andreas Christensen, but the club’s well-documented financial issues mean they are struggling to reach an agreement on an extended registration.
As a result, the Blaugrana now face the prospect of losing Olmo on a free transfer during the January transfer window.
His temporary registration is due to expire on 31 December and Barcelona have seen their latest appeal rejected by The Commercial Court of Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet report that Barcelona will present a new lawsuit against LaLiga on 30 December in a last-minute attempt to register Olmo for the remainder of the season.
It’s claimed that Barcelona’s argument will centre around the fact that all registration rules should be invalid because they are regulated by a body they consider to be incompetent.
However, they are close to seeing Olmo depart the club without receiving a transfer fee as LaLiga aims for Barcelona to fix their current financial woes.
Dani Olmo to leave Barcelona?
Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in signing Olmo on a free transfer, and the Spaniard’s agent is currently in England as talk of a Barcelona exit intensifies.
Andy Bara, Olmo’s agent, confirmed to The Daily Mail: “Yes, it is correct I am in Manchester. I am here on holidays.”
Olmo has made 15 appearances for Barcelona so far this season, scoring six goals, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €47.3m.
