Five players who could join Barcelona in January
Barcelona remain in a dire financial situation, but the club are still eager to sign reinforcements this year.
The Blaugrana were only able to sign Dani Olmo and Pau Victor during the summer transfer window, however they have been unable to register either player for the remainder of the 2024-25 La Liga season.
They have been given permission to use both players until the matter is legally resolved, but Barca’s current priority is to re-register the pair until at least this summer.

Marcus Rashford (Man Utd)
Marcus Rashford is actively looking to leave Manchester United in 2025 and he is widely expected to depart the club on loan this month.
The ex-England international is in talks to join AC Milan on a temporary deal, while Borussia Dortmund are also interested in an opportunistic move.
However, Barcelona are long-term admirers of Rashford and having been linked with a potential swoop, they could opt to make a serious pursuit before the January window closes.
Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)
Barcelona are set to seriously target a move for Jonathan Tah this summer, due to the fact he will become a free agent when his contract at Bayer Leverkusen expires at the end of June.
However, Ronald Araujo has been linked with a sensational switch to Juventus, and the Blaugrana may therefore be required to dip into the centre-back market in January.
Tah is seen as a suitable candidate to join the Spanish giants and although Barca would need to pay to sign him this month, Leverkusen could feasibly accept a fairly small transfer fee in order to avoid losing him for free this summer.
Carney Chukwuemeka (Chelsea)
This one is slightly less likely, but Barcelona are known admirers of Carney Chukwuemeka and he is expected to leave Chelsea before the January window closes.
The Englishman has only racked up 130 minutes of action across all competitions so far this season and Enzo Maresca is keen to offload him this month.
A number of clubs in England, Germany and Italy are interested in Chukwuemeka, but Barcelona could well compete for his signature as they eye a possible loan deal.
Jonathan David (Lille)
Jonathan David has been linked with almost every club in Europe amid his current contract situation at Lille, and Barcelona are among the teams interested in signing him.
The in-demand forward is due to become a free agent in July and he has been identified as a possible long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski at Camp Nou.
A move in January is unlikely, but Barcelona could at least reach a pre-contract agreement with the Canada international ahead of a summer transfer.
Angelo Stiller (Stuttgart)
Angelo Stiller is expected to command a huge transfer fee when he inevitably leaves Stuttgart, which could rule Barcelona out of the race to sign him.
However, Hansi Flick’s side are closely monitoring his situation in Germany as they look to sign a new central midfielder in 2025.
Stiller has also been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but Barca could rival the German giants during the January transfer window.
