Vinicius Jr wins The Best Fifa Men's Player of 2024

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has officially won The Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year award for 2024.
The Brazil international controversially missed out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or, with Manchester City’s Rodri scooping up the prize instead, but he won the main award at The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony on 17 December.
Vinicius Jr notably helped Real Madrid win the Champions League and La Liga double during the 2023-24 campaign, and he has become the first Los Blancos player to win the award since Luka Modric in 2018.

Manchester City’s Rodri finished in second-place, while Jude Bellingham rounded out the podium after his stellar form for Real Madrid.
Lionel Messi, the winner in both 2022 and 2023, finished sixth.
In addition to winning the main award, Vinicius Jr was also included in the FIFPro Men’s World XI.

Emiliano Martinez, Dani Carvajal, Ruben Dias and Antonio Rudiger were selected in the team too, along with William Saliba, Jude Bellingham, Rodri, Toni Kroos, Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland.
Meanwhile, Aitana Bonmati won The Best FIFA Woman’s Player of the Year award after a stunning 12 months at Barcelona. She defended her crown after emerging victorious in 2023.
Emiliano Martinez won The Best Fifa Men's Goalkeeper award, while Carlo Ancelotti was voted as The Best Fifa Men's Coach of 2024.
