‘They have lost their minds!’: La Liga chief launches ASTONISHING attack on Real Madrid

La Liga's president has launched an astonishing attack on Real Madrid.
After a referees meeting hosted by the RFEF and attended by all clubs in Spain (save for Real Madrid who boycotted due to their ongoing problems with the officials) Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, was asked about Real Madrid's latest outburst.
"Real Madrid want to harm the competition, not just the refereeing community, they have built a story of victimhood that I think was the cherry on top of the story they published the other day," he said.
"They have built a story of victimhood that is exaggerated, out of place and with an objective, in my opinion, of harming the competition," Tebas continued. "You could see that in the note. They have lost their minds."

After a 1-0 defeat to Espanyol this past weekend, Real Madrid released an official statement complaining about the referee to both the RFEF and CSD.
This is the latest move in a season where Los Blancos have been attacking officials each and every week via the club's official television channel, RealMadridTV.
Real Madrid applying pressure to referees
Madrid have been releasing videos highlighting the mistakes each referee makes in their games, opponents say this is done in an effort to pressure the referees into giving favourable decisions towards Madrid (or at least not give bad decisions against them).
And while Los Blancos have conceded six penalties across all competitions so far in 2024/25, none of them have been in La Liga, where they have also been awarded a league-high 8 spot-kicks.

Things have gotten to the point where Atletico Madrid, who are facing their city rivals this upcoming weekend in a top of the table clash, released a cartoon mocking the situation on X.

Tebas confirmed that in response to Madrid's comments about the referee in the Espanyol game, La Liga is planning to launch an official complaint calling for sanctions on Los Blancos.
"We are certainly going to file a complaint, just as we have filed a complaint against Real Madrid Television. We are going to see if the complaint is against the club, against the person who signed the letter, against the board of directors," Tebas said.
“We are analysing the matter at a legal level, but obviously this type of report cannot be allowed because it is falsehoods or half-truths that are intended to influence certain matters that cannot be.”
