Five players who could leave Barcelona this summer

Barcelona have one of the most exciting squads in world football, with Hansi Flick able to call upon some of the best youngsters across the globe.
However, a number of players have been unable to break into Flick’s preferred XI since his arrival and the Blaugrana are therefore expected to sanction several departures following the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave Barcelona this summer.
Andreas Christensen
Andreas Christensen has impressed since his free transfer move from Chelsea in 2022, but he has missed virtually the entire season through injury and he may be sold in order to reduce Barcelona’s wage bill.

The Denmark international also faces significant competition for places from Ronald Araujo, Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez, so an exit appears inevitable.
His injury record may be off-putting to potential suitors, however, so Barcelona could struggle to find a buyer.

Ansu Fati
Ansu Fati was the golden boy of Barcelona before Lamine Yamal arrived, but injuries have cruelly stunted his career and his time at Camp Nou is expected to end this summer.
Hansi Flick has rarely selected the Spaniard so far this season and Fati is almost guaranteed to leave Barcelona on a permanent deal.
Furthermore, his agent is Jorge Mendes so a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers could well be on the cards if history tells us anything.
Pau Victor
Barcelona paid €2.7 million to sign Pau Victor from Girona last summer, following a successful loan stint with the club’s B team, but he has barely featured this campaign.
He arrived to play a back-up role to Robert Lewandowski, however minutes have been extremely hard to come by and Victor may push to leave in order to secure regular football.
Furthermore, Barcelona are expected to sign a new centre forward this summer, as they search for a long-term heir to Lewandowski, and selling Victor would help raise crucial transfer funds.
Oriol Romeu
Oriol Romeu, a former La Masia graduate, re-joined Barcelona following a stellar debut campaign at Girona, however he was unable to become a key figure following his return to Camp Nou.
After only 11 La Liga starts during his first season back at the club, he returned to Girona on loan last summer and he is expected to leave Barcelona on a permanent deal this year.
Romeu has just one year remaining on his current contract at Barcelona, and Girona have been tipped to re-sign him permanently.
Clement Lenglet
Clement Lenglet has spent the last three years out on loan, at Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and now Atletico Madrid, and he is expected to finally depart Barcelona this summer.
The Frenchman has been deemed surplus to requirements by the hierarchy at Camp Nou, although he has performed well under Diego Simeone and Atleti may opt to make the deal permanent following the conclusion of his loan spell.
Either way, Lenglet is set to leave Barcelona later this year, having made 160 appearances for the club.
