Toni Kroos is back in the football business as a shareholder in his former agency Sports360.

The former Real Madrid superstar shockingly announced his retirement from football last summer. Kroos had been in exceptional form for Los Blancos as they won LaLiga and the Champions League in 2023/24.

In fact, such was his impact for the Spanish giants that German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann did everything in his power to convince the midfielder to return to the Germany squad for Euro 2024 on home soil.

Kroos agreed and made his comeback after three years away from the national team. Despite his age of 34, Kroos looked capable of playing for several more years but he ultimately decided to call it quits while still at the peak of his powers.

The now-35-year-old, who has become a prolific podcaster with his brother Felix in recent years, insisted after his retirement that he would likely take a step back from the big football business to focus on his family and his youth academy in Madrid.

Kroos joins football agency

Now, less than a year on from his retirement, Kroos has returned to the industry in a surprising new role. Football agency Sports360 has announced that the German has become a shareholder.

Sports360 is led by German football's most well-known agent Volker Struth, who represents Nagelsmann and a host of big-name German players. Kroos was previously a client of Struth.

"I’m excited to be a partner in the Sports360 family after my active career. I’ll be offering advice to some players on their sporting journeys and sharing my experiences,“ Kroos announced in an official statement.

"It’s something special to remain so closely connected even after one's career,“ Struth added. "Toni was a crucial athlete and key asset for our agency during his career, and with all his interpersonal, football, and now entrepreneurial skills, he will continue to be one in the future.“
