Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suffered BROKEN JAW in home invasion
Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suffered a shocking assault at the hands of four armed robbers in the city last Monday, and it has now been confirmed that the forward suffered a broken jaw in the attack.
Four hooded men made their way across Aubameyang's garden in the early hours of Monday morning, forced their way into his property and threatened the forward with guns, armed bars
Under duress he opened his private safe from which the thieves stole jewellery, before striking him in the head with the iron bar, and fleeing the scene around 1am local time.
Further reports detailed that the attackers spoke to each other in Italian and had Auba sequestered, alongside his wife, for one hour before departing.
Aubameyang and his wife suffered blows to the head but are fine beyond the trauma of the experience they suffered.
The 32-year-old is the subject of intense transfer speculation at the moment, with a move to Chelsea a deal that could happen before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.
Chelsea are aware of the incident and are sympathetic to the forward's plight, knowing that he will be unable to compete in full training for a few weeks at least.
The Blues, however, are still investigating whether they can get a deal completed before the transfer window closes on Wednesday evening.
Team-mate Robert Lewandowski suffered a similar incident just after his arrival in the city, having his €70k watch stolen from him at the airport.
