Erling Haaland struck FIVE goals as Manchester City thrashed RB Leipzig on Tuesday, sending the Twittersphere into meltdown.

Haaland was at his merciless best on Tuesday as City roared past the Bundesliga side and into the Champions League quarter-finals, his five goal-haul positively drowning out Ilkay Gundogan's strike on the scoreboard.

Haaland reached 30 goals in the competition from just 25 games, reaching the milestone quicker than any other player in history. Four-and-half months before his 23rd birthday, he is also the youngest player to reach the landmark.

Only two players - Lionel Messi for Barcelona against Bayer Leverkusen and Luiz Adriano for Shakhtar Donetsk versus BATE Borisov - have ever managed five-goal hauls in the competition before Haaland.
