What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s record against Barcelona?
Manchester United were given a mega draw in the Europa League as they are set to face off against Barcelona in the knockout play-off to enter the Round of 16.
The Red Devils finished second in their Europa League group behind Real Sociedad and are set to face off against Spanish opposition yet again.
Barcelona, meanwhile, had a difficult Champions League group and finished third, behind Bayern Munich and Inter, and entered the Europa League for the second-consecutive season.

For Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s a chance to square off against his former club’s old rivals yet again and improve his record against the Blaugrana, who he scored against so frequently.
Ronaldo has a good record against Barcelona
Ronaldo has played against Barcelona 34 times in his career for three different clubs: Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, with the chunk of those appearances coming for Los Blancos.
His first match against them was the Champions League semi-final in 2008 for Manchester United, where he played both legs but failed to score, however, United went on to progress.

In all, Ronaldo has scored 20 goals against Barcelona, nine of which came in La Liga during his Real Madrid days with others coming in the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Spanish Supercopa.
His first goal against them was on 16 April 2011, when he scored against them for Real Madrid in a La Liga clash; just four days later, he scored against them in the Copa del Rey final, which proved to be the winner.
In all, across 18 La Liga matches against them, he has nine goals against them – the last of which was in his last league match against them in 2018 – and he has been on the winning side on four occasions.
In the Champions League, his first goal against them was for Juventus in the group stage of the 2020-21 campaign, where he scored twice in a 3-0 win at the Camp Nou.

In six matches in the Champions League, he has won, lost and drawn twice each, however, the biggest result was the defeat in the final in 2009 when he was at Manchester United.
Ronaldo’s overall record against Barcelona stands at 34 matches, 10 wins, nine draws, 15 losses, 20 goals scored and three assists provided, making him one of their more impressive opponents.
