Dembele has found an agreement to join Atletico Madrid

Lyon sporting director Juninho has confirmed that Moussa Dembele is in talks to join Atletico Madrid and believes that an agreement has been found.
Dembele was heavily linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs last summer, in particular Manchester United, after an impressive 2019/20 season in which he scored 24 goals in all competitions.
The 24-year-old striker is keen to move on from Ligue 1 leaders Lyon in order to further his career, and he is edging closer to a transfer to La Liga table-toppers Atletico Madrid.

“There is a possibility he will move,” Juninho told Telefoot Chaine.
“Moussa came to see me. He thinks that this is the moment to change teams and that he has lost a bit of motivation.
“This was not something we foresaw, I like him a lot. Keeping someone who does not really want to live in an intense way through the next five months, that is not ideal.
“We are in talks with Atletico, I think that Moussa has found an agreement with Atletico.”
Dembele has struggled for form this season, scoring only one Ligue 1 goal in 16 appearances.
The latest reports in the French media say that Atletico and Lyon have agreed a loan move with option to buy for €35 million.
Dembele will be a replacement for Diego Costa, who recently left Atletico on a free transfer.
