Domenech: Camavinga must go to PSG for the good of French football
Former France national team manager Raymond Domenech believes Eduardo Camavinga must move to Paris Saint-Germain for the good of French football.
The 18-year-old talent has enjoyed another tremendous campaign in Ligue 1, featuring in all but three of Stade Rennais league matches this season.

Such performances have attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG all linked with making moves for Camavinga this summer.
Due to the player’s current contract expiring in 2022, the player’s club may be forced to sell Camavinga this summer if he won’t agree to a new contract for fear of losing him for free next year.
As such, it seems likely that the midfielder will make the move away from the Ligue 1 club in one form or another in the coming months.
Domenech, who was in charge of French side Nantes until February of this year, believes PSG can’t overlook the possibility of signing such an impressive talent in their own backyard.
‘Camavinga must go to Paris Saint-Germain’
“Camavinga, PSG must go. Otherwise, it would mean a radical change of policy,” said the former France national team manager in an interview with Football365. “A big club like Paris has to take the best players in the French league.
“Here, in the middle, they have only taken players who all look the same and whom they have paid a lot of money for in relation to what they are capable of doing.
“All of a sudden there’s an 18 year old with a real possibility for the future. I also think it’s good for the French clubs economically.”
Domenech may have his wish granted in the coming months as it seems as though PSG will face very little competition for Camavinga’s signature in the summer window.
While Madrid are in the midst of some financial trouble, Bayern boss Uli Hoeness recently stated that his club would not be making anymore major signings ahead of the new season.
