Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires in June and he has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension.

The World Cup winner was involved in the biggest transfer saga of last summer as he attempted to push through a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

In the end the transfer didn’t go through but Mbappe is widely expected to still move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season on a Bosman.

WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?

Reports have been rife over the last fortnight that Mbappe has already signed a pre-contract with Madrid.

Indeed, it was reported on January Deadline Day last week that Mbappe had penned an agreement on a six-year contract with Madrid that will see the PSG superstar earn a mouth-watering €50 million-a-year in the Spanish capital.

But Mbappe has denied all this talk and says he is only focused on eliminating Real Madrid in the Champions League.

What did Mbappe say?

"I'm concentrated on beating Madrid and then we'll see what happens," Mbappe told PVSportFR.

"I have yet to make a decision about my future. Even if the match against Madrid changes things, and even though I'm free to do as I please, I'm not going to do those kinds of things. And I won't speak to a rival."

Madrid drew PSG in the last-16 of Europe’s premier club competition in what is the tie of the round.

The Ligue 1 side will play the first leg in Paris before travelling to the Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg.

Mbappe signed for PSG from Monaco in a €180m deal in 2017, joining the same summer as Neymar, who transferred for a world record €222m.

He has won three Ligue 1 titles during his time at the club, as well as the World Cup for the France national team.
