Kylian Mbappe has not publicly announced his summer transfer to Real Madrid yet because he is worried about his image and does not want to leave PSG on bad terms.

According to Marca, Mbappe and his entourage are trying to work out the best way in which to deliver the news that the World Cup winner is moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.

After five years at PSG in which the club has given him a lot, Mbappe does not want to ruin his relationship with staff, players and fans.

He also is wary of the damage that could be done to his PR if his exit is mishandled.

This is the reason why Mbappe wants to wait until after PSG’s final game of the season on May 21 before announcing his Free Transfer to Madrid.

It has been widely accepted for several months now that Mbappe will join Madrid this summer on a Bosman transfer when his contract at PSG expires.

The 23-year-old has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension at the Parc des Princes, although he has persistently insisted that he has not yet decided whether to stay or leave.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez teased the arrival of Mbappe after Madrid won their 35th La Liga title on Saturday.

"I hadn't thought about it but now that you mention it, it might be true and so on," Perez said on Saturday.

"When we plan next year's squad we'll see."

Mbappe attempted to push through a €150 million-plus move last summer to Madrid, the club he supported as a kid.
