Now, they have learned how much they will have to pay for him – and it’ll be welcomed as PSV would be willing to sell their biggest talent for a low price.

Gakpo available on the cheap

According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, PSV can’t afford to turn down a big offer for Gakpo as they are going through financial troubles and will have to sell.

There’s a belief that Gakpo could be sold for as little as £25 million – a low fee for a player who has 13 goals and 13 assists in 20 matches across all competitions for PSV this season.

Last summer, Manchester United were looking to make a move for him but opted to go for Antony instead, however, Erik ten Hag remains an admirer of Gakpo’s talents.

Gakpo spoke on that interest, telling The Times: "I was close to leaving, I spoke to Erik ten Hag a few times at Manchester United."

"In the end the deal didn't go through, which was a shame, for me and my development, and because Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world, but also for PSV, because to transfer a player to Manchester United is a good thing for the club."

Arsenal are also keeping an eye on the player, while others like Leeds United, Everton and Southampton are also keeping tabs on the situation.
