PSG coach Christophe Galtier has dismissed suggestions that Kylian Mbappe is unhappy at the club.

Mbappe reportedly wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain just five months after spurning Real Madrid to sign a bumper new three-year contract at the Parc des Princes.

The French World Cup winner has spoken out at having to play as a No.9 in Galtier's 3-4-2-1 system, and is understood to be unhappy with Neymar's disruptive influence at the club - not helped, perhaps, by the fact that the Brazilian is averaging a goal-involvement inside every hour he's played this term.

Not that Mbappe hasn't been scoring - he grabbed his 12th of the season as PSG drew 1-1 with Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday, all but ensuring their progression to the knock-out stages from Group H.

"There was a rumour that came out the afternoon of a game - Kylian has an answer, the most beautiful answer," Galtier roared ahead of the French Classique, against Marseille on Sunday. "In a match that wasn't of a very high level, I think he was elected Man of the Match, he was performing well, generous for the team and very supportive.

"Have I spoken with him about the rumour? No! I saw Kylian very invested in the preparation for the game against Benfica, in the recovery and the preparation for the game against Marseille. That's all there is to it.

"I repeat again, I am very happy to be the coach of these players, of this team, but still: write it down and let's talk football. I have players who since the Champions League match have immersed themselves very quickly in the preparation of the match against OM, which is a f****ing high point! It's the match that everyone is waiting for in the French championship."

Scoring or not, Mbappe still cuts a frustrated figure in some of his games. Real Madrid retain an interest despite some recent public proclamations, while the Premier League big guns are the only other clubs who could afford to bid for the €142 million-rated forward.
