Wahi has had a great season in France so far, and is attracting interest from various clubs across Europe, with Arsenal most likely to make a move for him according to reports.

The forward, who turned 20 on 2 January, is already a part of history with his record and is destined for big things in the future.

And he could achieve those things with Arsenal should the Gunners choose to strengthen their attack even further in the coming months.

Wahi attracting interest from abroad

Wahi has already scored 20 goals in his Ligue 1 across his career, and is the second-youngest player in the last 40 years to reach that number before the age of 20, after Kylian Mbappe.

That means he’s achieved that record ahead of greats like Thierry Henry and Karim Benzema, showing the potential Wahi has in the game.

He was destined for big things right from the start, even when he was previous club Caen as a youth player, and he will be hoping to carry on in that trajectory.

The likes of Manchester United, Tottenham, Juventus and Liverpool were all reportedly previously watching Wahi and Arsenal will have to move fast if they want to sign him.

As of now, Arsenal have no plans to make a move for him given their depth with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah among their ranks and Folarin Balogun out on loan.

However, a summer departure from Montpellier is possible, with the fee demanded reportedly around €30 million for the emerging forward.

So far this season, Wahi has netted seven goals and provided one assist in 15 appearances for Montpellier and will wish to carry that form into the second half of the season.
