Mbappe twist as furious PSG president weighs in on controversy amid Real Madrid links
Kylian Mbappe’s angry social media attack on PSG continues to shake the Ligue 1 leaders.
Mbappe took to Instagram on Thursday to voice his discontent with the marketing strategy of the club, claiming that he does not want it to become “Kylian Saint-Germain” after viewing an advert designed to get season ticket holders to renew their deals.
The 24-year-old forward, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €142m, claimed he was frustrated to see that an interview he gave to club media was used in the content without his prior knowledge.

RMC reports that this has prompted an angry response from president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
It reports: “He does not want there to be more tension in the club, especially with Kylian Mbappe. The president remains as close as possible to the club, in the offices in Paris, and will take action following this error.”

While the hierarchy of the club have Mbappe’s back in this case, the player’s handling of the situation has drawn criticism after back-to-back losses have put the club’s title defence in question.
“You can call your management and settle this internally,” former France striker Christophe Dugarry told RMC.
“The guy who made this promotion, is he responsible for the faults of Paris Saint-Germain? Do you think we're going to blame Paris Saint-Germain's problems on a guy who did an advertisement?
“I don't even understand Kylian’s message. Let him stop! Let them all stop with their egos! They are bad! They lose matches one after the other! Let them play on the field, let them show what they are worth. They have insane salaries. He doesn't need to do all this acting because he hasn't endorsed a commercial. We don’t care!
“He wants to take care of everything! Marketing, communication, he chooses the sporting director, he chooses the players with whom he wants to play. Stop! Play football!”
Respected journalist Daniel Riolo chipped in: “Mbappe says: ‘I don't want to talk about Kylian Saint-Germain’ but by doing that he is Kylian Saint-Germain because he is above the club to the point of torpedoing the club publicly.
“That the club deserves to be torpedoed publicly because nothing is working, that's true. But for the star player of the team to say so, it's not normal."
Mbappe’s social media attack on PSG on Thursday has only increased rumours that the France striker is not happy in Paris and is seeking a summer transfer, potentially to Real Madrid.
