Real Madrid sent Mbappe THREAT after PSG striker DESTROYS Barcelona

Real Madrid would have been thrilled to see Kylian Mbappe eliminate Barcelona from the Champions League with a double on Tuesday.

Mbappe struck the winning goal in the tie as PSG came from behind to defeat the Catalan side 6-4 on aggregate, having trailed 4-2 at one point in the tie.

The 25-year-old France star is destined to move to Bernabeu in the summer at the end of his contract in Paris, yet with nothing officially announced, there is still some doubt over where the forward might end up.

PSG head coach Luis Enrique has even suggested that there is still an outside chance of the player remaining with the Ligue 1 champions.

Yet a third possibility has been mooted from Bayern Munich, with former CEO Oliver Kahn indicating that the Allianz Arena club can consider the possibility of signing the World Cup winner.

“Bayern can get a Harry Kane and Bayern has to worry about an Erling Haaland. Bayern can also think about Kylian Mbappe,” Kahn told Bild.

It is unclear from Kahn’s quotes if Bayern have moved to sign Mbappe or even spoken to him, yet it is a transfer threat that Real Madrid must heed, not just over this case, but also over other players.

Florian Wirtz, for example, is a player that both clubs want to sign, and with Bayer Leverkusen placing an asking price of €150 million on the attacking midfielder, Bayern’s former supremo is sending out a message to Los Blancos that the Bundesliga giants will not be financially bullied.

Luis Enrique on Mbappe

PSG head coach Luis Enrique spoke out on the subject of Mbappe, meanwhile, after the Barcelona fixture and seemed to indicate that the France star will depart in the summer.

“Let's wait for Mr. Kylian to speak about his future,” he said. “When Mbappe and PSG speak in public, we will see. It's like a process. Until Mbappe goes and speaks in public, I'm just here waiting and staying silent.”

The striker was equally evasive when asked about his plans, stating: "Of course I want to win the Champions League with PSG. We're a great team and we'll do everything to go to Wembley."

Thanks to Mbappe’s goals, PSG will face Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
