Chelsea send former first-team starter to Strasbourg
Fabrizio Romano has revealed the identity of the next Chelsea star who will jet off to sister club Strasbourg on loan, with this player having started 30 games for the club last term.
Chelsea have already used the Ligue 1 side as an outlet to send promising youngsters Caleb Wiley and Diego Moreira, who has actually been sold to the Alsace outfit, but this duo are set to be joined by a player who started 30 first-team games for the Stamford Bridger outfit.
Djordje Petkovic is poised to make the leap to France, Romano reports.

“Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic set to leave and join Strasbourg, here we go!” Romano tweeted.
“Understand Petrovic has agreed on new terms with Chelsea ahead of leaving to join Strasbourg.
“It will be one one-year loan until June 2025 then back to Chelsea.
“Paperwork being prepared.”
The move echoes that of Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has joined Bournemouth on a one-year loan after signing a new one-year contract with the Blues.

Petrovic set to assume senior status at Strasbourg
Petrovic, who has won three caps for Serbia, is set to move to Strasbourg as their first-choice goalkeeper this season, with the Ligue 1 side not having an obvious option in that area of the team.
The 24-year-old is set to fill that void for a team who have made a Champions League spot their target this season, despite packing their squad with largely untested young players.
Indeed, Petrovic is set to be the oldest regular for Racing, giving him unique responsibility given his relatively limited experience.
Liam Rosenior’s side have picked up four points from their opening two matches of the season and will face Lyon on Friday, though it appears doubtful that the goalkeeper will be ready in time to play that match.
