Former Inter forward Eder has slammed the current owners of Inter, Suning, for their running of the club, with the Serie A champions set to offload Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea to ease their debts.

Last season was a successful one for the Nerazzurri as they ended Juventus' decade-long dominance over Italian football by winning the Scudetto under Antonio Conte.

However, Conte would leave in the summer after being informed that Inter would have to balance the books by selling a few prized assets.

Achraf Hakimi was subsequently sold to Paris Saint-Germain for €70 million, while Lukaku is also set to be sold after Chelsea came in to bring to the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge with a bid of €115m which has reportedly been accepted.

Other star names like Nicolo Barella, Stefan de Vrij, Lautaro Martinez and Milan Skriniar are also allegedly up for sale.

Eder played with Inter before moving to linked club Jiangsu Suning FC, also owned by Suning.

After they won the league for the first time ever, the club was dissolved in February of 2021.

Eder warned that they would do the same to Inter.

They threw away all the great work we’d done. From the players, staff and directors. And now they’re doing it all again at Inter, ruining everything coach Conte achieved.

"Because they need 100m in their pockets. They couldn’t care less about football or their employees.”

He has now commented again, saying it he should have added an extra 100m to that estimate.

Suning should have to 'explain' Lukaku sale

Another former Serie A man in Milan's Cristian Zaccardo has had some choice words for Suning and club president Steven Zhang.

Zaccardo believes Inter fans deserve an explanation on what is currently happening to the club, including why Lukaku is being sold.

We need to understand the project of the club," he told Tuttomercatoweb.

"If there is a need to start again, by selling Hakimi and changing coaches, many other things also change. Zhang must reveal his future plans to the fans.

“Inter have good directors. The amount they have available invest is considerable and there are interesting young players in Italy and abroad. It always depends on the coach’s ideas though.”
