How much are Napoli asking Barcelona & Madrid for Fabian Ruiz?
Napoli have told Barcelona and Real Madrid that they will have to pay €60 million in order to sign transfer target Fabian Ruiz this summer.
The Spanish midfielder has long been a target for both Spanish giants and both are reportedly set to firm up their interest in the coming weeks.
The reason for that is because Ruiz’s contract at the Stadio Diego Maradona expires in 2023 and he doesn’t seem particularly interested in penning a renewal.
However, according to Il Mattino, Napoli have slapped a €60m asking price on his head.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is notoriously difficulty to do business with and has regularly held out for high prices when negotiating sales in the past.
Nevertheless, Ruiz is likely to be sold this summer to avoid Napoli losing him on a free transfer in a year.
The Spanish international has been one of the most admired midfielders in Serie A ever since joining Napoli from Real Betis in 2018.
Gavi and Fabián Ruiz are both from the same town, and both played for Betis when they were 8 years old. They will face each other during the Barça - Napoli match on Thursday.

Ruiz has enjoyed an excellent season for the Neapolitans this season, playing a key role in their Scudetto challenge.
He has scored six goals and assisted four as Napoli won 10 of their first 11 games to suggest they could win a first Scudetto since 1990.
However, Napoli fell away in recent weeks meaning that Milan and Inter are fighting it out in the last three weeks of the season.
What did Fabian Ruiz say?
“It is always nice to see yourself linked with great clubs, especially the Spanish ones,” Fabian Ruiz said of Barcelona and Real Madrid’s interest back in February.
“However, I have another year on my contract, I’m happy at Napoli.
